Columbus Variant hard shell roof tent - Carbon fabric - Black shell - Medium X-Long

It is the highest roof tent ever: when open, it reaches an interior height of approx. 150 cm. After opening the rear closure, the upper roof shell is raised by the two gas springs and the tent fabric is stretched taut. Closing the roof tent is just as quick and easy: simply pull it closed, fold in the fabric and you can continue your journey safely.

The shells have a clear, flowing, aerodynamic and aesthetically perfect line - even on small vehicles.

The tent fabric is a high-quality waterproof fabric MADE IN GERMANY, which does not retain water vapour inside the tent, but releases it naturally and is resistant to extreme temperatures (-40°C/+70°C).

The COLUMBUS roof tent has a suspended ceiling whose air cushion provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation in the rain for a healthier and quieter environment.

The roof shells do not deform in the heat, are UV-resistant and colour-stable.

The fibreglass roof does not attract lightning during thunderstorms.

The design of the COLUMBUS roof tent allows you to stow bags, sheets, sleeping bags and personal items away from the weather during the journey.

The standard equipment includes 1 high-quality mattress, 2 inner pockets (1 pocket per side), a lamp with 3 bright LEDs (batteries included), 2 entrances on both sides with internal roll-up mosquito nets, a large variable entrance at the rear (adjustable in 6 different ways), a height-adjustable, non-slip aluminium ladder and a practical storage net in the upper section. All openings are equipped with fine-mesh and blackout mosquito nets, i.e. you can see out from the inside, but you can't see in from the outside.

The Small + Medium models are prepared for the additional installation of a roof rack (e.g. for transporting surfboards, kayaks...)

The X-Long version is 20 cm longer and offers more space and comfort, not just for tall people. It is suitable for medium and large vehicles (4x4s, minivans, vans, SUVs and estate cars).
